It receives the DMX (Digital Multiplex) signal, amplifies it, and distributes or directs it to multiple devices. This prevents signal degradation and ensures reliable transmission over longer cable distances. With isolated outputs, it maintains signal isolation for each connection.

Using the DMX protocol, it facilitates the transmission of stage lighting and control systems from a central control desk to various devices.
